Box it up
Seeing as how I have to be completely out of my apartment in exactly 2 weeks, I have decide to begin packing. Now, normally I would wait at least another week to begin this process. I'm usually quite the procrastinator. However, this time around is taking a lot more planning than normal. This time it's not just pack stuff in boxes and move it all from point A to point B. I have to figure out what to take to Germany, what to take to Alabama on the way to Germany, what to send back home, what to throw away, etc. And I am bound and determined to de-clutter. For those of you who know me well, I'm quite the pack-rat. I keep junk. Lots and lots of junk. And I'm finally getting rid of it. (PS. If any of you want any of my junk you're more than welcome to come get it. Otherwise you will find it at the DI in about 3 days)
One plus with the AF (at least I think it's a plus) is that they don't just move you, they PACK and move you. I can just leave everything as-is and they'll get it all boxed up and shipped. However, this means that all the junk I have that I don't want to take with me needs to be gone by the time they get here. And it really is a lot of junk. Did I mention that?
I didn't have a clue where to start, so after much procrastinating I decided to start with the storage closet. I'm happy to say it is now completely empty. However, this is now what my living room looks like...

I don't know if you can tell, but it's quite impossible to reach my tv. Hopefully I'll be able to find the remote to turn it off...
Good luck with that, chica. ;) I don't have to do it for another year! Woohoo!
